Our Need To Worship God; The Power In Praise

Luke 4:8 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.

We are created to worship God, even with a need to worship God. We must know that worship of anything or anyone else is only detrimental.

Luke 19:40 New King James Version (NKJV)

40 But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

Here Jesus is explaining that God will be worshiped and if we don’t worship Him, even the rocks will cry out in worship. Who of us wants to know that a rock can take our place? To worship Father God is both a privilege and an honor.

Revelation 4:11 New King James Version (NKJV)

11 “You are worthy, O Lord,  To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”

God is our Creator. The Angels in heaven cry Holy, Holy, Holy because they are eternally seeing the majesty of Father God.

We are to come into His presence with thanksgiving and praise. Once we realize how much God loves us our hearts will have the desire to praise Him. Our praising God brings us into His presence. The deeper we go into praise the higher the level we go into our relationship with Jesus. We are taught that we must worship God in spirit and truth, with all openness and honesty, with deep respect and reverence.

The Bible teaches us that every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, but what an amazing life transformation happens when we worship God because we know who He is to us and our hearts overflow with thanksgiving and praise to Him.

There are often times when our praise and worship of our Father is a sacrifice of praise because our circumstances aren’t always ideal, that is when we often experience His creative power and deliverance! That is when bondages and stronghold are broken off our lives and we can truly see Father God instead of our circumstances. This kind of praise will take you to a higher level in relationship with God.

Our sincere praise to God is one of the most powerful tools that we have to build our lives with. True worship of our Father God actually creates an atmosphere where we meet with Him and being in His presence changes everything and everything changes.
