God’s Goodness

For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:-1 Timothy 4:4

We are all creatures of God.  He has promised that he will refuse us no good thing.  Sometimes He gives us something entirely different than what we thought we asked for and it always turns out better.  He knows what is best for us.

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.-Psalm 145:9

Just look at the sky, the green grass, the trees, the stars and the sun and moon.  Only a wonderful loving God would create all of this for us.

“For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” – Psalm 100:5

He took care of the Jews and He will take care of us if we just let him.  We must surrender our lives to Him.  Stay in the Word.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” -James 1:17

God sent us His most precious gift, Jesus to save us all from sin.  All we have to do is receive His precious Son and start living the life like Jesus did.

“And now, O Lord God, you are God, and your words are true, and you have promised this good thing to your servant.” -2 Samuel 7:28

God keeps all his promises.  It may not always be the way you think it should be so you must just praise Him for what He does for us each and every day.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith…” – Galatians 5:22

He gives us all these and much more if we just take the time to meditate and receive them.

“So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” -Hebrews 13:6

God will keep you.  So don’t fear what man can do to you.  God keeps you in His loving arms and protects us from earthly fears.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” -Proverbs 3:5

We must rely on the Lord instead of trying to fix things our way.  He knows everything and how to fix it.  I know it is difficult to loosen the reins and let God do it.  We are creatures of habit so now we need to create a new habit of giving everything to God.  He is good and will take care of it for you.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” -Philippians 4:6

Here again the Bible says to stop worrying and pray then thank God for the outcome.  He promises to answer all our prayers.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:6

This is the promise we must stand on.  God is wonderful and forgiving.  He wants us to sit at his feet and learn all about Him.  He gives us our food, contentment, love, mercy, beautiful things to see out in our world.  I praise Him every day I wake up and look at the sky and see how blue the sky is and when there are clouds I thank Him for all the beauty He gives me to see.  He protects me from evil.  There have been many times in my life that I have felt His presence when I have driven by an accident that just happened and thank Him that He kept me from being there at the time it happened.

God has been so good to me.  I fell away but He didn’t give up on me.  I know He was with me.  I know I wouldn’t be here on this earth if He had forsaken me.  He takes care of my every need.  All I have to do is stay in the word and pray.
GOD IS SO VERY GOOD TO ME.
